Gilded Designer Series Paper Technique

Stampin' Up! Inspiration Project

Add a touch of glamour to your projects with the Gilded Designer Series Paper technique. This surprisingly simple technique is a great way to make a simple card into a WOW card!

For best results use papers with abstract designs like Perennial Essence and See a Silhouette Designer Series Papers. Change up the look by using any metallic Stampin' Emboss Powder.

You are going to love how this technique looks in person - photos just don't do it justice!.

Spritz & Crumple

Use Stampin' Spritzer to spritz 2-3/4" x 4-3/4" Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper with about 4 spritzes of alcohol. Crumple paper. Unfold carefully. Repeat crumpling and carefully unfold again. Partially flatten paper, but not fully, so you leave hills and valleys.

Tap with VersaMark

Allow paper to dry. Gently rub with Embossing Buddy. Very gently, just touch the VersaMark ink pad to the paper so it just taps the hills. Repeat across the whole paper. Generously cover wet ink with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder.

Tap off excess Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. Heat Emboss with Heat Tool.

TIP: Use the Take Your Pick Tool to hold the paper in place while heat embossing.

Adhere Layers

Use Multipurpose liquid glue to adhere paper to 3" x 5" Basic Black cardstock. The liquid glue allows you to flatten and move the paper where you want it. Do not completely flatten paper. Add to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
