What is Paper Pumpkin? Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription service that offers a unique variety of paper projects for crafters of any skill level to enjoy! Step It Up: Flower & Field Designer Series Paper

At Stampin’ Up! we love Sale‑A‑Bration (happening now until 28 February)! Now is the perfect time to shop and earn fantastic Sale‑A‑Bration rewards—like our fresh and colourful Flower & Field Designer Series Paper—when they meet the qualifying purchase threshold.

Basic To create our casual card, stamp the sentiment in Night of Navy ink on a layer of Basic White Cardstock, then adhere the stamped cardstock to the Mint Macaron card base. Stamp the heart image in Flirty Flamingo ink using the stamp-off technique. Then, punch five banners from our Flower & Field Designer Series Paper using the Banners Pick a Punch. Adhere the banners to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and tie with a Linen Thread bow. Done! You have the perfect, easy card to let someone know you care.

STEP UP Add a little extra detail to the second card by spritzing with Bumblebee Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill using the Stampin’ Spritzer. Embellish the banners with flowers die cut using the Wreath Builder Dies, and add 2020–2022 In Color Enamel Dots. Die cut the sentiment using the Stitched Rectangles Dies, then finish with a fussy-cut, stamped heart popped up with a Stampin’ Dimensional. Pretty sweet!

STEPPED UP For our artfully avid card, we adhered additional flowers fussy cut from Designer Series Paper, plus some Vellum Cardstock. For an extra-lavish look, we layered on a die-cut heart and a fussy-cut sentiment, then amped up the artistry even more with a lacy edge made using Flower & Field Designer Series Paper and the Budding Blooms Dies.

Stepping up your cards is so much fun! Start simple and go big. Mix and match until you find the look that is right for you. You could even invite friends over to brainstorm. I can’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon!

Parts & Pieces: Darling Donkey

When a new stamp set arrives at home, sometimes the first thing you want to do is experiment. You may want to pull out several ink pads and stamp with the set in different ways to see how many adorable project ideas you can think up. Stampin Up! concept artists are the same, and as you can see, they had fun trying to decide how best to show off this darling donkey’s cuteness with just a few simple supplies.

For the first card, we stamped the same image twice and cut the Basic White Cardstock and Designer Series Paper layers in half. This is so easy to do and creates a pleasing mirror image effect. For the next card, we used the same donkey image and sentiment multiple times on the same cardstock layer. It’s a simple trick, but the results are eye-catching. For the third card, we cut the Basic White Cardstock layer into three pieces and suggested movement by revealing more and more of the same donkey image. It’s almost like a vintage cartoon reel. So fun!

TIPS: The Gilded Leafing is packed tightly in the container and is super light so it can "float" around easily. I started today by looking at a messy desk with lots of scraps of paper from the Oh So Ombre Paper Packet from my last project, and I did not want to throw them out. I remember I saw a youtube video a while back by Natasha Foote. She did not use Stamping up paper but I thought I case her project.
